Student Council Trip to Statue of Liberty
The Student Council enjoyed a trip to NYC to visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, led by Mrs. Dinallo and Mrs. Higgins. Looks like they had a lot of fun!!

Dinosaur Days
The second grade
classes recently displayed their dinosaur exhibit. This display was the result
of several weeks of dinosaur activities and research, including the creation of
dinosaur fact books, clay fossils, art work, dioramas and a video display. The
students also visited the Museum of Natural History in New York to observe the
dinosaur displays up close!

Congratulations Lady Bulldogs !
On Sunday, February 28th
the cheerleaders competed in the Fairleigh Dickenson University Eastern State
Cheerleading Competition. The team received 2nd Degree of Excellence
for their cheer dance routine. Overall, the team received the title of NJ State
Champions.
In the singles
division, 8th grader Gabriella Monteleone received 2nd
Degree of Excellence for her cheer. In 7th grade, Valentina Giraldo
received 2nd Degree of Excellence for her dance routine. Another 7th
grader, Cara Kaminski received 1st Degree of Excellence for her
singles pom pom dance routine.
In the doubles
division, Valentina Giraldo and 8th grader Kelly Sanchez received 2nd
Degree of Excellence for their cheer. In 8th grade, Jordan Lacap and
Kayla Mitolo received 2nd Degree of Excellence for their cheer
dance. In 6th grade, Gianna Liggio and Aaliyah Rincon received 1st
Degree of Excellence, Overall Champion, and highest score of the day for their
pom pom dance routine. Gabriella Monteleone and Cara Kaminski also received 1st
Degree of Excellence, Overall Champion, and the highest score of the day for
their dance routine.
In the triples
division, Gabriella Monteleone, Jordan Lacap and Cara Kaminski received two 1st
Degree of Excellences and Overall Champion for their dance drill and cheer
routines. Kelly Sanchez, Keana Pena and Kayla Mitolo also received 1st
Degree of Excellence for their pom pom dance routine.

Pasta for Pennies
The 5th grade won the Pasta for Pennies fundraiser! They generously collected money and won a lunch provided by Olive Garden!
The most important part is that they were able to donate $320.85 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and we are so happy for that! The whole school collected the total of $833.95.
