FitnessGram Challenge

On Friday April 24th, the Memorial School 5th grade classes competed in an online FitnessGram Challenge against the Maywood School District 5th grade.  As part of the technology integration in our physical education program, we used Skype to connect online as students were able to view the Maywood students running on the big screen in gym through use of the projector.  The challenge was the PACER run which is a cardiovascular endurance assessment.  We had 20 students compete in the challenge while the other students were part of the scoring team.  They did such a great job as we won the challenge by a score of 870 to 844!  Special thanks to the Maywood School District, Mrs. D’Elia, Ms. Caporrino, Ms. Gomez, and Mr. Masullo for their assistance in making this run so smoothly.  Go Bulldogs!
