Cookies & Milk with Dr. Seuss

The Student Council brought a surprise to Pre-K, KG, 1st and 2nd grades today!
They had some delicious cookies & milk, and listed to "The Cat in the Hat" story told by Mrs. Turtoro.
Thank you, Student Council for coming up with such exciting events in our school!!

Pasta for Pennies Lunch!

Mrs. D'Elia's 5th graders were the winners of the fundraiser "Pasta for Pennies" sponsored by Olive Garden! They collected a total of $321.16 in change to help The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. They worked hard, were very generous, and today they got their prize: a delicious Olive Garden lunch.
Good job guys!

The 3rd graders received a present today!!

The Rotarians of Mid-Bergen came to visit and donate dictionaries to the third graders. What a great gift, thank you Rotary Club!

Cheerleading Competition!




On Sunday, February 22 the cheerleaders competed at the Eastern State Cheerleading Competition at FDU. The team received 3rd Degree of Excellence for their cheer dance. In 6th grade, Cara Kaminski received 1st Degree of Excellence for her singles dance drill. Cara and Valentina Giraldo received 3rd Degree of Excellence for their doubles dance drill. In 7th grade, Jordan Lacap, Gabriella Monteleone, and Laysha Morel received 3rd Degree of Excellence for their triples pom pom dance drill. Kayla Mitolo, Keana Pena, and Kelly Sanchez also received 3rd Degree of Excellence for their triples dance drill. In 8th grade, Evelyn Remache and Citlalli Apolinar received 3rd Degree of Excellence for their doubles cheer dance. Diana Silva and Necole Torrejon received 2nd Degree of Excellence for their doubles pom pom dance drill. Diana also received 2nd Degree of Excellence for her singles pom pom dance drill.

Kindergarten FUN!


The kindergartners learned to count from 1 - 100 by tens! They had some fun and learned number recognition. The result of their work is beautiful, good job Mrs. Higgins and students!!
